I took this picture yesterday,
...while I was out running...
...at first glance...
...it's just a street sign...
...located behind our temporary home...
but
oddly
my prayers
(since the house fire)
have included
these words:
"Lord, you are Sovereign..."
I had personally
--never--
prayed that before
but
it is becoming
more real
to me
each day
that goes by
...My God has been in every instance. Every moment. Providing...
...Our lives have been disrupted. Schedules changed. Patterns and habits halted. Our things are put away in storage and we don't always have access to the things we need, when we need them. We are living out of boxes and bags. We have lost some items that were of value to us from the smoke damage...have had to sort through things making that decision--to keep, or not to keep. Not to mention disrupted sleep patterns and new fears that have blossomed...memories and thoughts that wedge themselves in unexpected, random moments...
...but...
...The Lord has provided...
He has provided shelter and restoration. He has provided for monetary needs, and of course, physical needs. He has provided support, encouragement, wisdom, direction, peace, and strength. He has calmed my anxieties. He has turned my attentions elsewhere when needed. He has strengthened friendships. He has given me patience to endure the minor inconveniences that keep surfacing along the way in this journey. I know He is up to something. I believe He is teaching us--my children and I. I have faith that nothing is wasted by The Lord. And, as I've said before...I pray we have teachable hearts.
Things are starting to move forward again. This "ordeal" will soon be history for us. As with most things, history is all too soon forgotten.
...I don't want to forget. I want to always...
STOP
and remember
that
The Lord
IS
Sovereign
and
keep moving forward
having a teachable heart
(not parked and unmovable)
...in our weakness, He is strong...
May the Lord
be
Glorified
and
Magnified
in our
...lives...
