I was listening to the radio
...driving home...
and
this song

...came on...
It
has meant
...a lot...
to me
over the past year
because
...well...
the words spoke to me.
As I was singing along,
I cannot explain
the
...overwhelming joy...
I felt
It began to spill out
in the form of
...tears and laughter...
...because...
I sensed
...the Presence of the Lord...
and
thought to myself
"God has answered this"
and indeed
He has:
...let me know redemption wins...
...let me know the struggle ends...
...that He can mend a heart that's frail and torn...
...He's shown me that a song can rise...
...from the ashes of a broken life...
...and all that's dead inside...
...can be reborn...
I was once
so worn
but
He gave me rest,
lifted me up,
set my feet on a rock...
The Rock.
I have so many memories
...of...
how beat down
...I was...
how overwhelmed
...I was...
BUT God
rescued me.
This was such a precious moment
I had to write
...about it...
My faith is strengthened.
