....suck....
and they call for

peanut butter

jelly
sandwich
with
a side of
goldfish

and
most recent
is the
Proud Mother Challenge
The challenge
asks you
...as a mother...
to post ONE picture
that makes you
proud to be
a mother
I can't pick
...just one...
Every picture I have
of my children
makes
me
proud
of
them
I can't even.
Y'all.
I love these two.
...Pride...
....no....
...humility...
is what I feel
when it comes to
being a mother
I cannot believe
who they
have grown into
that
God
not only blessed me with
two little bitty babies
but
also
trusted me
...ME(?)...
to raise them
and
even though
I have made a multitude
...of mistakes...
and
we've faced our share of
..hardships...
they have
turned out
happy
healthy
funny
intelligent
successful
kind
balanced
good
respectful (generally speaking)
...(insert laughing emoji)...
honest
confident
young adults
surrounded by friends
with a faith in God
I'm not sure I feel pride
because
there's no way
I could have done this
on my own
I feel humbled
by
God's
grace
goodness
and
mercy
I feel blessed
Am I proud of them?
...oh yeah...
...more than words....
but
to me
the better word
for being a mom
would be
...humbled...

I am not

I know
I come across
quiet
and
reserved
but
sometimes
things
make me angry
and
when I'm angry
I turn green
grow immense muscles
growl
yell
and
scream
my head spins
I vomit pea soup
curse words fly
...and...
I break things
...well...
that's an exaggeration
I didn't intend to
...break it...
I was emphasizing
a point
by
"slamming it closed"
but
the integrity
of the drawer
was
already weakened
by poor craftsmanship
and
in my defense
it was already
hanging by
...a nail...
...next time...
I'll
...count to 10...
take a time out
breathe deeply
close my eyes
walk away
...maybe...
