I let her use mine

To begin our Saturday...
Michael had to give
3 vials of blood
but

To end our Saturday...
Lauren and I went to
...pick out prom shoes...
I think she got the better end
...of the deal...

I think
we've toured
about 4
different colleges
...at this point...
and
every time we visit
...it's raining...
TCU gave us
...umbrellas...
...nothing from...
Rice or Baylor
ACU gave us
...ponchos...
but
our feet still got
...soaked...
all the way up
to our knees
...no...
that's not a shadow
on my pants
...they are soaked...
but
that was ok
because
we had a great time
and
views like this
make wet feet
...bearable...

My LollipopGirl and I
went searching for
...the perfect...
prom dress
for
...her Senior Prom...
I'm thankful that
she is like me
in that
neither one of us
are big shoppers
and
neither one of us
are frilly
She knew
her style
her colors
what appealed to her
and
...what did not...
It was a great day
and
as usual
...time went by...
way too fast
and, finally,
we did some
...shoe shopping...
on our phones
while eating

Remember when
-- a few weeks ago --

...or so...
I made chicken
and
it was raw

Because of
...that experience...
I decided
that when I baked
...chicken...
tonight
I would
a) defrost first
then
b) cook longer
and
it turns out
that
when you cook things
...too long...
...well...
they burn
and so
instead of chicken
we had
something similar to
...chicken jerky...
(don't ask me why it's on the counter...
...I can't answer that...)
but
...it was inedible...
so
we heated up
...chicken nuggets...
instead
me + kitchen = never boring
