You think you know pain
...until your child...
is in it.
Today,
(before "Meet the Plumber")
My
-- SweetGirl --
had a "procedure"
to drain/remove
a cyst
that had developed
on the base of her spine.
A local anesthesia was used
...however...
it either
a) hadn't taken effect when they started
...or...
b) wasn't strong enough
because
-- my.girl.felt.everything --
.every.thing.
She was screaming in pain, friends.
As a mom, holding her,
hearing her screams,
squeezing her hands,
seeing the actual "lancing and prodding and draining,"
and being helpless
was one of
THE
worst things
I have ever gone through.
It's a maternal "pain"
that runs deep
...makes you nauseous...
it's gut-wrenching
and
scary.
You pray that the Physician will take away that burden...
that He will give it to YOU
You pray comfort
and
relief
...you pray...
FOR IT TO BE OVER.
And you say to the
...physician...
"Are you sure you gave her anesthesia?"
...This girl...
...is my hero...
she is brave
beyond
compare.
I adore her so.
And now she is in her happy place
with her pain meds.
love.
