I recall

I was not
a fan

didn't like me

I loved

I remember
from her class
learning

Junior High
is a huge blur
6th - 8th

were not kind to me

I got moved to

(or high)
classes
in 8th grade
but
was already behind
because the group that was in
"H"
had been together for years
I remember
trying out for
the talent show
in 8th grade
I bet you didn't know

like
a boss
I think

my awkwardness
High School

desire to become

who stands out
above
the rest
is
the one who was there
encouraging me
from the very start
He was there
for my first
word
and
step
and
wonder
He
and his

taught me
...life lessons...
molding me
and
shaping me
into
the person
I am today
My dad
